Must be ServSafe Certified We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our dining team. This is a large Senior Living Community serving Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and handling, with a keen understanding of culinary techniques and food service operations. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that meet our high standards for quality and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining proper food handling practices.
- Collaborate with dining manager to plan menus, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting in ordering as needed.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, grills, and fryers.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
- Take pride and ownership of dining experience.
